Robert Kahn

- born on December 23rd 1938
- he graduates from City College of New York in 1960
- in 1962 he finishes his Master and receives a Ph.D. in 1964 from Princeton University
- at first he works for the Bell Laboratories and later he becomes assistant professor for electrical engineering at MIT
- he leaves MIT to work for BBN until he joins ARPA in 1972
- in 1979 he becomes director of IPTO
- he leaves ARPA in 1986 to found the Corporation for National Research Initiatives (CNRI)
- until today he is CEO and president of CNRI
